As with their offset presses, Meridian’s ability to print such lush black and white images as duo or tritones on their digital press is quite phenomenal. Bakalus’ work is showcased in this perfect bound hardcover book. Her series of portraits was taken over a five year period in a small village in eastern Poland, beautifully capturing the history and culture of the place in their faces. A solo exhibition at Sussex County Community College in 2014 accompanied the book. Some of her work also included experimental video and multiple image constructions.
